Last night I went to another Film, Music and Digital Media Happy Hour! put on by the Mayor’s Office of Film & Music. I’ve found that these are a great resource for someone like myself who is very new to the industry.
Last night I had the nerve wracking pleasure of meeting and introducing myself to Patti Kelles who is probably the most reputable casting director in Seattle. She told me to send her my headshot and resume and I plan on doing whatever she tells me. Heh. I also made the aquaintence of Douglas Horn, a writer and director based out of LA I believe. He was instrumental in introducing me to Ms. Kelles, so I must thank him over and over again for that.

- The Twilight Series
I had a brilliant (I hope) idea just now. I know everyone in the world has read the Twilight series and everyone loves it or hates it, but even though they hate it they can’t stop reading it. I’ve purposely NOT read it just because I hate to jump on a bandwagon, so here’s my idea. I will read the Twilight series, and then post video podcasts of my reviews. I imagine 4-5 podcasts/reviews for each of the four books. Now, I don’t know if I’ll fall in love with the series like all the thirty-something women and tweens I know or if I’ll hate every minute, but you will get my honest opinion and it just might be funny. So stay tuned, I’m going to get the books and start reading so I can get you my first webisode ASAP.
In other news, my lawn mower stopped working so I had to take it to the shop where they told me there was a recall they needed to do anyway. In the meantime I’m borrowing my neighbor’s mower, but while she was getting it for me she locked herself out of the house. I broke into a window of hers and she had to climb through it, so it’s been a silly morning. The weather is amazing, though!
