The season premiere for So You Think You Can Dance is tomorrow night, and I’m pretty excited. A small group of friends and I love the show and don’t skip an episode, so we’re all gearing up for a new season. Last year we all fell in love with Joshua, so the bar is set pretty high this year. Not just for talent, but for likability. Joshua was the sweetest, most humble, and most fun to watch. I hope things are going really well for him. Anyway, I’m really excited for it to start, but as much as we all love the show, we all kind of hate the judges: Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. They’re just wretched to listen to. Nigel makes everything seem dirty and Mary just sounds about as nice as nails on a chalkboard. Yikes. Kind of love to hate them though. Heh. I hope there are some great new dancers with great personalities on the show this year! Yay!
On Monday (which is supposed to be sunny and hot!) SIFF is screening the 3 Minute Masterpiece I was in at 11am in the SIFF Cinema theater, more details here. That’ll be fun to go see.
Rehearsal for Half Empty begins in June on weekend mornings and I’m so excited to get that underway. The director just told me today that they’ve beefed my part up because they like the way I improvise, so that’s pretty cool! They also changed my character’s name to Aimee, which I like much better than its predecessor: Donna. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it!
Still on the stove is my podcast, but honestly I’ve been slacking on that. I will redouble my efforts to pick up the pace! I shall not let it fall to the wayside.
I’m excited. I’ll have more to say when I’ve picked my new favorite dancer.
