Alright, so here’s the sitch with my acting shiz. I have been cast in three full length feature films by the same director/producer, but I haven’t actually done any acting in them yet.
I’m really excited about each of them for different reasons, but I’m really excited about the range of emotion I’ll be able to exercise throughout the duration. In Half Empty I’ll get to be likable, funny, and cute; in The Next Nine I’ll sort of be playing “the other woman,” and all that brings; and in the unnamed project I will get to be frightened, confused, angry, and hopefully (heh) violent. It’s going to be a hell of a time.
The Next Nine has already began shooting, but my parts are sort of being saved until later. Half Empty starts shooting in February or March. The unnamed project will be shot sometime in late 2010 or early 2011.
I’m ashamed to say that in the meantime I’ve gotten lazy about seeking out new roles and I really need to step my game up. I’m thinking about taking some acting or improv classes this fall or winter to keep me engaged while I wait to film. I chat with my director every once and a while and that keeps me excited about what’s coming up, but I shouldn’t just be sitting on my hands. I mean, I’ve been working on my body with a personal trainer, which is my “instrument” (gag), but I should be doing more.
That’s today in acting. Tomorrow I’m going to a wedding in the middle of a field. Ciao!
