New Moon… blah

Ouch.  I mean, I didn’t expect it to be good, but I hoped that I might enjoy it somewhat.  It’s like they thought by making everyone look just right that it would work, there was no emphasis on actual emotion.

They were acting instead of being, and it was gross.  I found myself literally rolling my eyes and shaking my head at the screen.  What a waste of all that money and time, why not just take it a step further and get an honest performance out of them?  Although, maybe those kids aren’t capable of that kind of honest emotion.  I mean, they did a great job, they learned their lines, they acted it out, but… nothing.

It’s frustrating to see that kind of thing, because I’ve got so much in me just waiting to be pulled out and used.  I can’t wait until I get my chance to do something real.

Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t sour grapes, I think that Kristen Stewart girl was great in Adventureland–a lot more real–and the others, I’m sure they can be great too.  I just don’t think the director pulled it out of them in New Moon.
